WindyCityGamers.com is a gaming community that really doesn't focus on one particular game. We simply enjoy the variety of games out there and enjoy playing them with other casual gamers. If you want to become a member and add the ~WCG~ tags in game please check out our recruitment forum. Please fill out a recruitment application in our forums.(I would advise being active in the forums is a plus)

Any person disregarding these terms will be banned from the website or any server by a server admin.

We currently are running a Teamspeak server which your are free to use. Check our forums for our current game servers.

[Battlefield 2] Battlefield 2 celebrates its three year anniversary

With over 15 million player accounts being created since release, Battlefield 2 is still going strong. On the forums we often see discussions about whether there will ever be another update for the game. Well, today we are happy to announce that we are working on an update for Battlefield 2. We are planning to provide an open beta in the near future and we hope you’ll give us your feedback before final release; so watch out for that.

Infinity Ward has released the newest patch today for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, bringing the game to v1.7. Please note that this is an incremental patch and you will need to first have the v1.6 patch installed. Here is the change log:

• Fixed an exploit that allowed players to access certain console dvars during multi-player matches.
• Fixed a crash that could occur when a Chinatown Sabotage match would go into over-time.
• Fixed a bug where the MP icons (Bomb, Defend, Capture, etc) were always showing up as English regardless of the install language.
